Introductory and Advanced Interactive Training Courses

Exactal offers regular introductory and advanced interactive training courses at our inner-city training room locations around Australia and New Zealand. Presented by a qualified Exactal quantity surveyor, our training courses are hands-on with one computer allocated for each student, and small class sizes for each participant’s benefit. Away from the distraction of the office, you will be free to concentrate and get the maximum benefit from your training.

CostX^® is very easy to learn and use, so after just a few hours of introductory training you’ll be able to work on your projects. Through regular use of CostX^®, you’ll find that you are able to further develop your skills to really exploit its power and capabilities; this may then be followed by a subsequent advanced training course after a time.

  This course is to be attended by those who have completed the Introductory CostX^® or CostX^® 2D courses and would like a more in-depth knowledge of the workbook, coding & revisioning features.

  • Using Zones
  • Creating Code Libraries
  • Multiple Coding Analysis
  • Overlaying Drawings
  • Auto-Revisioning

  This course is to be attended by those who have completed the Introductory CostX^® or CostX^® Takeoff course and would like a more in-depth knowledge of the 3D/BIM features.

  The following modules are included: • Adding & Navigating around 3D BIM Models
  • Measurement Techniques
  • Importing BIM Data
  • BIM Model Structure & Model Mapping
  • 3D Model Revisions

Please note that CostX^® Training Participants are expected to have basic computer skills and be able to perform tasks with both keyboard and mouse in a Windows environment. Advanced course participants are expected to have completed Introductory Training at an earlier date, either on site, at a training centre or online.
