Exactal is pleased to announce the establishment of Exactal Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary based in Hong Kong. The expansion into Hong Kong follows the successful establishment of subsidiaries in New Zealand and the UK over the last two years. The new company will be the headquarters for Exactal’s operation in Asia and will sell directly in the region as well as supporting existing resellers. 
 
Opening the new office today, Queensland Government Trade Minister Stephen Robertson stated that the Hong Kong of 2010 represented a strong platform for companies to do business not only with China, but with all of Asia’s major markets.
 
Mr Robertson said “Hong Kong lives and breathes business. You can feel the financial buzz as you walk down the street. Over many years, Hong Kong has cornered a major slice of the market as a platform for doing business across Asia,”

This kind of hi-tech, international business activity is helping to catalyse the shift that is taking place in Queensland – a shift from a resource-based economy to a globally focussed, technology-based economy.”
 
CEO of Exactal, Mr Mark Kefford thanked Mr Robertson for opening the new office and commented on the importance of the Hong Kong office in Exactal’s plans. “Local knowledge is a key factor in establishing a company into any new region and we would like to thank the Queensland Government Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong, Mr Simon Lee, and the local trade office for providing relevant assistance in this regard.”
 
“The opening of this new office is a very important step for our plans in the Asian region and our entry into the emerging Chinese market and we are pleased that the Minister was available to open the office during his visit to Hong Kong.”
 
Commenting on the new office, Mr Simon Lovegrove, Exactal’s Director of Estimating Solutions who leads a team of Quantity Surveying professionals within the organisation, said “A key difference with the service provided by Exactal is the product being supported by Quantity Surveying staff in each region and I am pleased to announce that we have already employed a local professional for the Hong Kong office. Leading edge software is very important but it needs to have trained industry specialists working closely with the clients to extract the maximum benefit.”
